This is a fairly-realistic imitation of a dead or dying Threadfin Shad, and has an intermediate buoyancy. When I fish shad hatches below the dams, I use a Scott’s Real Shad floating on top, with a Scott’s Foxy Shad about 2 feet below for the dropper on point. This gives the fish 2 chances to eat your fly. These are made with EP brushes and arctic fox tail.
